Ramen
Ramen is a Japanese dish consisting of Chinese-style wheat noodles served in a meat or fish-based broth, often flavored with soy sauce or miso, and uses toppings such as sliced pork, dried seaweed, kamaboko (fish cake), green onions, boiled eggs, and pickled ginger.

Ramen is the most popular noodle dish in Japan. It was originally imported from China but has been significantly modified to suit Japanese tastes. In Japan it is eaten at any time of day. Ramen can be found nationwide at restaurants and grocery stores alike.

Maki and Sushi
Maki is a Japanese word that means “to wrap” and it refers to sushi rolls. These are typically made with ingredients such as salmon, cucumber, and avocado, wrapped in seaweed and rice. Maki can be either hand-rolled or machine-rolled depending on the ingredients.

Sushi is a dish consisting of rice with vinegar and sugar, topped with raw fish or other ingredients such as egg, avocado, or cucumber. It is often served with soy sauce for dipping. Sushi can also be served as a roll made from rice and seaweed (called norimaki).

Nigiri Box
Nigiri is a Japanese delicacy that is made up of sushi rice, wasabi, and fish. Nigiri can be prepared with any type of raw fish or other seafood. The most common type of nigiri are salmon and tuna nigiri.

The word nigirizushi means “hand pressed sushi” in Japanese. Nigirizushi first appeared in the 1820s but it became popular around the 1870s when refrigeration became more common in Japan.
